In 2010 an art collector Marijan Hanžeković decided to donate a part of his office space in 22 Radnička Street to a philanthropic cause – to art made by young artists. The energy of Zagreb’s Bateau Lavoir, a place of living and creating, inspired its benefactor to open a gallery nearby, Radnička Gallery. As a crosssection of the three years of studio explorations, this exhibition shows that its participants opted for figuration as the medium most suitable to reflect their autobiographical motifs.
